The historical and philosophical relevance of African American and Caribbean Rhetoric throughout the diaspora will be studied. Specifically, this course will focus on the rhetorical patterns of members of the diaspora, African Americans, and Caribbean historical figures such as politicians, revolutionaries, abolitionists, performers, musicians, poets, writers, and religious leaders.
