Description
This is an introductory survey course designed to acquaint students with business as a field of study. It analyzes the ethical role of business in society with emphasis on how the business system operates. It provides students with business communication, quantitative analysis skills, (including the application of spreadsheets), required in the corporate world. It introduces students to various areas of business including accounting, business law, ethics, finance, global markets, information systems, management and marketing. This course develops information literacy skills in students by fostering critical thinking, analyzing and evaluating information sources, and raising awareness of information ethics, with a particular focus on global business and management.
