This course will serve as an introduction to the skills commonly utilized by personal trainers. Coverage of functional anatomy, bio-mechanics, flexibility, aerobic andanaerobic training, nutrition, and body composition for maintaining fitness. Focus on how to build an individual exercise program that includes a working knowledge of exercise techniques, pre-exercise screening, program design, exercise prescription, fitness assessments, as well as the ability to communicate and motivate effectively.
