A Message from President Larry D. Johnson, Jr.

Welcome, Broncos!

Welcome to the 2026–2027 Bronx Community College Catalog and to a new chapter in your journey.

Whether you are beginning your college experience, continuing toward a degree, preparing to transfer or pursuing a new career, you have made an important choice: to invest in yourself and your future.

This catalog is more than a guide to courses and academic requirements. It brings together the programs, resources, services and pathways you need to turn your goals into action and your aspirations into achievement.

At BCC, student success is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to supporting you from enrollment through graduation and beyond, preparing you for your next step and for long-term success. Our academic programs connect learning to today's workforce while building the critical thinking, creativity, confidence and resilience you will need in a changing world.

As we move forward with Bronx Renaissance 2031, we are strengthening the foundation for an even stronger BCC. We are advancing our academic programs, modernizing our campus and technology, supporting our people, expanding partnerships that create pathways to careers and opportunity and building a college community where every student can feel a sense of belonging.

We are proud to be the Crown Jewel of the Bronx. For 70 years, Bronx Community College has opened doors and transformed lives. Our history gives us much to celebrate and inspires us to imagine what comes next. The future of BCC is one of innovation, excellence, connection and possibility – and you are an essential part of it.

As you explore this catalog, think about the person you want to become, the career you want to build and the difference you want to make. You do not need to have every step figured out today. Keep moving forward, one purposeful step at a time.

And know that you will not take those steps alone. Our faculty, staff, advisors, counselors and administrators are here to support you. We are committed to empowering you to make the most of every opportunity BCC has to offer.

As the seventh president of this extraordinary institution, I am proud of where Bronx Community College is headed and excited about what we will accomplish together.

We are redefining what is possible. And I invite you to do the same.

Dream big. Work hard. Make your mark.

The best is still yet to come.

With Bronco Pride,

Dr. Larry D. Johnson, Jr.
President
